With security hinge bolts installed, even if the hinges are destroyed or badly damaged it is more difficult to prise the door open at the hinge side because the door is interlocked with the door frame.
As the Surite range of products expands it will also include security hinge bolts that enable greater interlocking with steel and aluminium door constructions.
Surite HB35 Security Hinge Bolts
The HB35 security hinge bolt is a new addition to the Surite range of products. A feature of the HB35 is its 19mm diameter stainless steel head that when installed projects beyond the door stile for a distance approximately twice the size of its diameter.
- Most suitable for solid core doors at least 45mm thick, the HB35 may be installed to doors that are 40mm thick that are hinged to hardwood timber or pressed metal door frames.
- Each time a door fitted with an HB35 security hinge bolt is closed an interlock is established between the hinge side of the door and the adjacent door frame.

Improved Security for Sensitive Areas
HB35 high security hinge bolts are designed for installation to doors more than 40mm thick, which are often included in sensitive areas where information and other data is stored.
Accordingly, installation of a Surite security hinge bolt is not merely a matter of drilling a hole in the edge of a door. Greater skill and expertise is required to ensure your security achieves a high level of integrity.
The inclined portion of the HB35 head may also interact with an electronic sensor connected to monitor the desired proximity of the HB35 head within the socket formed in the door frame.
