Duo Medium Security Hinge Bolts
For more than 25 years DUO HBC Security Hinge Bolts have enabled customers to improve security at the hinge side of their doors. Especially for doors which open outwards.
- These security hinge bolts are smaller than HBW and that enables them to be successfully installed to doors less than 40mm thick.
- HBC are sold in pairs, which usually suits most single door installations for medium duty commercial and domestic situations. Solid core doors are usually preferred for those applications.
- As shown in the image, the HBC head of the bolt projects about 19mm beyond the hinge edge of the door and a socket is formed in the frame to receive it. As the door closes, the head is received into the socket and interlocks the door with the frame until the door is unlocked and is moved to an open position.
- DUO HBC may also be installed to metal doors that have architectural grade stiles that are sufficient to sustain the installation.
